Unit 1 Introduction

This unit focuses on how Canvas works, from both the student view and the instructor view. You will learn the basics of how Canvas works by filling in a couple of online forms to create course material.

By the end of this lesson, participants will be able to

  • Build a community of online learners through participation in a discussion forum
  • Help students connect with you by updating your profile and sharing your communication preferences
  • Create an Announcement to share course news with students

  2. Perform the "Edit Profile" hands-on activity
  3. Perform the "Add Announcement" hands-on activity

  5. Respond to the "Unit 1 Discussion: First Impressions" discussion
