1C: Additional Resources
This course focuses on the basic fundamentals of course design and the "assignments" represent the bare minimum that you need to do to design (or re-design) an effective and inclusive course. At the end of each module, there will also be suggestions for additional topics, resources and activities that will help you take your course and your teaching to the next level.
Although this course will not spend much time on it explicitly, the first step to designing a course really should be to understand both who your students are, and who YOU are. To that end, you are strongly encouraged to read Taking Equity-Minded Action to Close Equity Gaps Links to an external site. (Lindsey Malcom-Piqueux & Estela Bensimon) and the suggestions in the guide on Maintaining Equity and Inclusion in Virtual Learning Environments, Links to an external site.and consider how you might ensure you are taking an equity-minded approach to your teaching.
