To ensure safe and effective use of AI at SDSU, students, faculty, and staff have access to several supported tools, all of which are covered under SDSU’s licensing agreements. Microsoft Copilot
Microsoft Copilot offers advanced generative AI capabilities, including text, voice, and image features. It’s accessible from any web browser and newer versions of Windows 11. SDSU’s Microsoft licensing includes commercial data protection to safeguard user and organizational data.

Google Gemini
Google Gemini is a generative AI assistant using machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) to respond to text, image, and audio prompts. It supports tasks like answering questions, summarizing, writing code, translating, creating images, and boosting productivity and creativity. SDSU’s licensing ensures enhanced data protection for Gemini users.

Adobe Firefly brings generative AI features to Adobe’s creative apps through SDSU’s Adobe Creative Cloud subscription. With the Firefly web app, users can generate AI-driven visuals based on their own prompts, enhancing creative workflows with advanced capabilities.

Khanmigo (Faculty Only)
Khanmigo is an AI-powered teaching assistant integrated into Canvas. Khanmigo offers free accounts to all educators, is template-based and specifically designed to support teaching and learning .
