    Graded Discussions
Discussions: Discussion assignments allow students to engage in online discussions. Instructors can create discussion topics, set participation requirements (like a minimum number of posts), and grade students based on their contributions
Quizzes (Classic Quizzes and New Quizzes)

SpotlightSpotlight: The "To-do List"

In Canvas, assignments are automatically added to a student's "To-Do" list. Students love it since it helps them track what's upcoming and expected all in one place.
It's important to note that pages can be manually added to the To-Do list Links to an external site., but this isn’t automatic like assignments. Meanwhile, files cannot be added to the To-Do list at all, which is one reason we don't typically recommend using them.
