Whether you are setting up your course for the first time or enhancing your current setup, this template ensures consistent usability and familiarity for students.







 How to Add SDSU Template to your Course:

To utilize the SDSU Canvas course template in one of your courses, follow these steps:

  1. Download the SDSU Canvas Course Template (.zip)Download SDSU Canvas Course Template (.zip)
  2. Go to your course.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select Import Course Content on the right side menu.
  5. Choose Canvas Course Export Package.
  6. Select Browse, locate your file, and select Open to choose it.
  7. Choose All Content. (Note: Do not choose All Content if you have customized a Syllabus in your course already. It will wipe out that content. Instead, choose Select specific content and then do not choose Syllabus. Seek support at the virtual help desk (http://sdsu.zoom.us/my/sdsuits) with any questions).
  8. Select Import.

The template content will populate into your course, at which point you can choose a homepage and populate with your course content.
